Defendants: Members of Freie Anti-SC Aktivisten (FASA), an anti-Scientology activist group.

Nature of dispute: Civil proceedings concerning alleged violations of personal rights arising from online publications about Scientology and the claimant.

According to Anti Scientology Blog, a Scientology member brought proceedings in Switzerland against FASA. The dispute concerns whether statements published in an earlier blog article violated the claimant’s personal rights. FASA disputes the allegations and describes its publications as criticism of Scientology.

Background and disputed allegations

FASA reports that the claimant objected to statements in its publications, including descriptions and terminology used in its criticism of Scientology. The dispute concerns the wording and interpretation of the publications and whether they infringed the claimant’s personal rights.

FASA disputes the allegations and argues that its reporting was legitimate criticism of Scientology and its beliefs. These are the parties’ respective positions as described in the blog; they should not be treated as judicial findings.

California · Death at Scientology’s Gold Base · June 2000

Stacy Moxon (Stacy Grove Meyer)

Location: Scientology’s Gold Base, near Hemet, Riverside County, California

Age: 20

Records: Riverside County Sheriff’s Department records concerning the June 2000 incident, later obtained following a public-records lawsuit.

Stacy Moxon, also identified as Stacy Grove Meyer, died at Scientology’s Gold Base in June 2000. According to an investigation published by Audit the Government, her body was found in an underground electrical vault on the property. The death was classified as accidental. The article examines the police records and raises questions about the scope of the original investigation. Those criticisms are the investigator’s analysis and should not be mistaken for findings by a court or a determination that a crime occurred.

Background and questions raised about the investigation

Audit the Government reports that Stacy was found in an underground concrete electrical vault containing electrical equipment. The author raises questions about the heavy metal cover, the position of a ladder inside the vault, and whether the physical circumstances were fully examined.

The report also questions whether investigators sufficiently explored the events leading up to Stacy’s death. It states that the original investigation relied on a limited number of interviews and that people who knew Stacy, including roommates, were not interviewed. These points are presented as claims and criticisms made by the report’s author; readers should consult the released records and any official responses to assess them.

The article further describes a public-records dispute with Riverside County. According to the author, the Sheriff’s Department initially said the records could not be located, and later attributed the problem to a misspelling of Stacy’s name in its database. The records were disclosed following litigation.

Reported update: records and prosecutorial response

Audit the Government’s article includes an update dated 23 August 2026. The author reports receiving a letter from the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office stating that it would not open a murder investigation, citing a lack of evidence of criminality.

The author disputes the adequacy of the investigative work and says friends, acquaintances and roommates were not interviewed. This is the author’s account and criticism of the response; it should not be presented as an independent judicial finding or proof of a cover-up.

The key distinction is that the released records and the public-records litigation can be examined directly, while conclusions about what caused Stacy’s death or whether misconduct occurred require evidence beyond allegations or unanswered questions.
