AUDIT LA
THE PEOPLE’S KAREN
Who Is Audit LA?
Audit LA is a female activist and advocate against abuses within the Church of Scientology. Through her activism, research and public advocacy, she works to expose harmful practices, raise awareness of the experiences of those affected, and demand greater accountability.
In Los Angeles, she attends public meetings and scrutinises Scientology-related street closures, permits and the use of public spaces. She raises questions about transparency, accessibility and the rights of residents, local businesses and the wider community.
As a wheelchair user, Audit LA understands the importance of accessible public spaces and highlights how decisions about street closures and public access can affect disabled people.
She is part of a wider community of advocates who speak out about Scientology’s practices and their impact on individuals and families. One of these advocates is Lara FM, whose experiences and activism contribute to the wider effort to expose abuses within Scientology.
This page brings together Audit LA’s work, videos, podcast appearances and public advocacy, helping visitors follow her efforts and find opportunities to get involved.

L. Ron Hubbard Way: Public Access and Accountability
Street closures and the use of public space in Los Angeles raise important questions about permits, public access and accountability.
Audit LA draws attention to concerns surrounding closures associated with Scientology, including:
- What permits have been issued, and what conditions apply?
- Are street closures being used within the scope of the relevant authorisations?
- What impact do closures have on residents, local businesses and visitors?
- How are emergency access and disability access being considered?
- How can members of the public raise concerns through official channels?
A street-closure permit does not automatically establish permanent control over a public street. The relevant authorisations, conditions and circumstances need to be examined.
Audit LA encourages people to examine the available evidence, ask questions and seek accountability through the appropriate public processes in Los Angeles.
Your Voice Matters
Members of the public can help by attending or participating in relevant Los Angeles public meetings. You do not need to be an expert to ask a reasonable question or explain how an issue affects you.
Public comment can be an opportunity to raise concerns about permits, access, safety and the use of public space.
